who we are
Snow White Laundry Limited operates the restaurant at 281 water street, st. john's, nl, this website, and the internal tools our team uses to run the business. This policy describes what personal information we collect, why, and how we look after it. We handle personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
what we collect on this site
When you contact us, apply to work with us, or make a reservation, we collect what you give us: your name, email address, phone number, and the contents of your message or application. We use it to respond, to seat you, or to consider your application — nothing else.
The site uses analytics (Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics) to understand how pages are used — approximate location, device type, and pages visited. Analytics cookies are the only non-essential cookies we set. We do not run advertising trackers and we do not sell personal information to anyone.
our staff tools
Our team uses internal applications to run day-to-day operations — including submitting business expense receipts, managing schedules, and tracking inventory. Those tools store staff work records and receipt images in our own systems, hosted with Supabase and Vercel in the United States.
To keep our books accurate, our internal tools connect to QuickBooks Online (Intuit). We access QuickBooks data only to record business transactions — bills, vendors, payments, and receipt attachments — and we never use it for any other purpose. Connection credentials are stored encrypted and can be revoked by us at any time from QuickBooks.
retention & security
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, or as long as the law requires (business and tax records, for example, have statutory retention periods). Access to personal information is limited to the people who need it to do their jobs, and our systems use encryption in transit and at rest.
your rights
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where the law allows. Reach us through the contact page or call 709 728 9155 and we'll sort it out.
changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
